The Bio-S Food Science College – fostering health food development professionals
The Bio-S Food Science College (a school with a focus on human resource training for health food development) fosters professionals in health food development through its series of three programs based on trainees' levels of knowledge and experience. In addition to the basic program, core and advanced programs were introduced in FY 2011. Individuals working at the forefront of R&D in food science serve as lecturers, including scientists involved in the Bio-S project as well as corporate researchers. The college's academic environment and curriculum, which enable students to experience the nation's front line of research and business, are currently attracting widespread attention. Today, hopes are pinned on a new type of specialist equipped with health food development ability, communication skills and expert knowledge of related laws and regulations, which is essential in this type of business.
